Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway 2009

The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway is a seven mile long 15 inch gauge railway running through one of the most beautiful valleys in the Western Lake District.

The video was shot In June 2009 and includes dramatic footage of the railway's steam locomotives River Mite, River Esk, River Irt and diesel locomotive Douglas Ferreira.

Included are trackside and footplate action and magnificent mountain scenery. We also take a trip up the line with Peter van Zeller and River Esk.
